With the safety and health of our community top of mind, Theatre SKAM announces the cancellation of our spring activities.

This includes:

  • Grownups Perform Plays Kids Wrote, April 5th
  • All Pop-Up Theatre appearances
  • Spring Break Camps, March 23 to 27
  • Tragic Animal Stories, May 2020
  • Dream School with George Jay Elementary, May & June
  • Workshops for It’ll Come to Me, March & April
  • Suspension of spring semester of home learner and after school classes, April to June

Keeping our community safe and healthy is our top priority and this challenging decision is based on the most recent announcements and guidelines from federal and provincial officials in health and educational sectors.

This decision affects many professional artists, contract workers, and young people in our community. Many will feel the financial pinch. Keep them in mind. We will work to postpone our shows and events as best we can. We’re working on creative solutions for online drama activities. We are optimistic that summer camps and our summer festival will run and we will keep you updated as developments continue.

Effective immediately, our office and theatre spaces are closed as our team will work remotely for the next few weeks. The best way to reach us is to email any of our staff who will be available to answer any questions or concerns.

If you are currently registered in cancelled classes or camps, you have the following options:

  • full refund
  • applying credit to future classes
  • donating all or a portion of your payment (charitable tax receipt for donation amount)

We will contact all those registered in cancelled classes or camps to proceed with one of the above. Since we are a small team, please be patient with us as we do our best to get in contact with you as soon as possible.

Thanks for your continued support from the team here at Theatre SKAM. Stay safe.
