We recommend and encourage that anyone who has returned from another province or attended a large gathering that people travel to (conference, large concert etc.) in the past 7 days wear a well fitted 3-layer non-medical mask for all in person activities.

MINIMUM ENROLLMENT
We reserve the right to cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment. In the event of a cancellation, tuition will be refunded in full.
REGISTRATION TIMELINE
Please plan to register before the course start date. Late registrations will be accepted only up to the day before the second class meeting.
AGE
Students must be registered in the classes that correspond with their age. A student may be transferred into another age group if requested by the student, parent(s) or teacher. Transfers are made at the discretion of the instructor and administrator in consultation with the parent(s).
REFUNDS, CANCELLATIONS & TRANSFERS
Registration cancellations made before the start date of the class will be refunded in full.
Past the start date, there are NO refunds for group classes since their viability is based on minimum enrolments, except where withdrawal is warranted in cases of illness/injury accompanied by a doctor’s note. These courses are based on a sequential curriculum that does not allow for continuous intake; therefore, the space cannot be refilled if a student withdraws mid-session.
All withdrawal requests must be submitted by email to the Administrator: schooladmin@skam.ca. Withdrawal requests must be made in a timely fashion and within the session to which they apply. Requests for retroactive refunds received more than one month after the cessation of attendance at a course will not be considered. Tuition refunds in the case of illness/injury will be pro-rated according to the student’s attendance prior to the withdrawal.
FOR CAMPS
Prior to 7 days before the start date of the camp, a full refund will be issued for registration cancellations, subject to a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the start date will receive a 50% refund. After the start date of the camps in which the student is registered, no refunds will be given for withdrawals unless a medical note is provided.
BEFORE AND AFTER CLASS
SKAM School of the Performing Arts and our instructors are not responsible for students before and after class time. A $10 fee is charged for all late pick–ups, defined as more than 15 minutes after the class meeting has concluded. Please note early drop–offs are not permitted as we cannot provide supervision.
ABSENTEES & LATENESS
Please call or email your teacher in advance if your child will be absent from a class. Absenteeism can be very disruptive, so please ensure your child does not miss more than two classes. We respectfully request that you do not send your child to class if he or she will be more than 15 minutes late.
GUESTS IN CLASS
For the comfort of our students and instructors, parents are not permitted to observe classes.
FINAL PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
The final class meeting of the session may include a performance for family and friends. You will receive more detailed information from the instructor if this is the case.
INTERPERSONAL CONFLICTS
SKAM School of Performing Arts encourages students to collaborate, cooperate and respect each other and has ZERO tolerance for bullying of any kind. Aggressive, disruptive behaviour or talk that interferes with another student’s participation can result in the automatic cancellation of a registration.
We recognize that our students are still learning about collaboration, however, so if conflicts or tensions arise, we will do our best to negotiate an agreement between the student, teacher, and parent(s) so that the class experience can be successful for all involved. Please be in touch with us at schooladmin@skam.ca with any concerns, questions, or issues, so that we have the opportunity to address and resolve any conflicts.
