What do I need for an online class?
A stationary camera and screen, such as a computer, laptop, ipad or tablet
A microphone (either headset or on computer)
A space that allows for movement and creativity
Classes for Ages 8-12
Acting and Story Creation (Ages 9-12)
April 14 – June 2 (8 classes) | Wednesdays 4:00 pm – 5:30 p.m
Teacher: Vanessa Wood
As students expand on basic theatrical skills in movement, voice, acting techniques, improvisation, stage presence and awareness, they grow as performers. This class does not require prior dramatic training but a willingness to learn and ability to work well with others. Observation, team-building and performance skills will all be developed as students grow together and work towards performing their creative work at the end of the term.
Filmmaking (Ages 8-12)
April 13 – June 1 (8 classes) | Tuesdays 4:00 – 5:30 p.m
Teacher: Matthew Payne
For young, aspiring filmmakers and performers who want to learn the basics of on-camera acting work and how to shoot film sequences together. Students will experience the excitement on both sides of the camera as they gain experience shooting scenes, mini commercials, and short films. Students will end the term with a screening of their short film that they created collectively. A link to final films will be sent to all families!
Please note: attendance is very important for continuity and preparation.
Classes for Teens
Improv for Teens (Ages 12+)
April 19 – May 31 (7 classes) | Mondays 6:00 pm – 7:00 p.m

Can’t leave the house right now? Join Monica online for an accessible hour of storytelling, games, fake movie pitches and more! If you’re looking for a creative space to laugh, share stories, and make friends, this online class is for you.
Scene Study (Ages 12-17)
April 15 – June 3 (8 classes) | Thursdays 6:30 pm – 8:00 p.m
Teacher: Monica Ogden
From She-Ra to Hamilton to Umbrella Academy, the media we consume is everywhere. What makes these shows or plays memorable? Why do we love the characters? By delving into iconic theatre, TV, and movie scenes, we can explore the answers. This class is for actors, directors and writers who want to better understand character motivation, how to do intensive actor script work, and how to highlight and play the tensions of the scene.
