Our fundraiser originally scheduled for November 29th is a no go. Trust us, there are circumstances way beyond our control.

How will we ever keep new play development, originally scheduled for Winter 2009 on track you ask? We have devised a simple two-step plan.

1) Despite the economiblahblah and the brutal hacking of provincial funding for all things civil, along with the cancellation of an event we anticipated raising a few grand for us, we will refuse to panic.

2) We will party.

That ticket price range is kind of ridiculous- what do I get if I buy a $15 ticket?
-Admission to the Bash

What is the SKAMraffle?
-The SKAMraffle is one giant winner-take-all prize. The extensive and still growing prize list of what one- and only one- lucky winner will go home with will be issued soon. It will include: wine, beer, coffee, clothing, loads of tickets to live events, a casting by a professional mask maker and a date.

Why 88 dollars?
-In dubious honour of the approximately 88% anticipated cuts to BC Arts over the next two years.

Oh yeah, that. How much did SKAM lose this year?
-10,000.

Dollars?
-Yes

Whoa, and next year?
-Hard to say, but could be 3 times that.

So just to cover the funding lost this year alone, you need over a hundred people to each buy a SKAMraffle ticket?
-113.7 people actually

I live out of town- can I still win?
-Yes.

I can't make it to the bash.
-That's not a question.

What if I can't make it to the bash?
-Buy an 88 ticket and SKAM will ensure a poor local artist gets in to the bash and that you get all the prizes we can mail you.

How do I add a prize to the SKAMraffle?
-Email allison@skam.ca and we'll add your prize (and your company name) to the prize list.

How old will SKAM be this year?
-We turn 15 this January.
