August 26 to September 5
at the Victoria Fringe Festival
Smalltown: A Pickup Musical is a brand new musical comedy set to preview at this
year’s Fringe in a truck in a park.
The new work by SKAM veterans Amiel Gladstone and Lucas Myers tells the story of a little B.C. burg whose denizens are attracted to a rich offer from a big corporation.
Director Matthew Payne has assembled a killer ensemble featuring some of Victoria’s best live performers: Clayton Baraniuk, Wes Borg, Rielle Braid, Sarah Carle, Michael Delamont, Izad Etemadi, Rebecca Hass and Brad L’Écuyer. Lead by L’Écuyer (who also arranged the music and provides Musical Direction) the cast rotates through a variety of instruments, delivering undeniably catchy songs on the back of a pickup truck in a park.
Smalltown: A Pickup Musical, plays 6:00pm nightly at Kings Park from August 26 to September 5, 2010 (except Monday August 30th).
Kings Park is located at 1150 Caledonia Ave, a 7-minute walk from Venue 4, St Andrew’s Elementary. All tickets are $11.
